Tax treatment of Benefits in Kind
The Tax Department of the Ministry of Finance published a Guide explaining the tax treatment regarding the various benefits in kind for employees or people holding or deemed holding an office.
The law will be applied in effect by the Tax department on the 1st of January 2019 and therefore the guide issued provides a light as how the application of the law will happen.
According to Article 5 of the Income tax law, benefits from any office or employment, provided to an employee or to a member of his family either in cash or otherwise are subject to taxation.
